The Craftsman - Bubinga

The American Appalachian

The American Appalachian

The Craftsman-Bubinga Kitchen Board is my flagship design, a statement piece that embodies both function and artistry. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, it reflects the timeless ideals of craftsmanship, simplicity, and honest use of natural materials. The warm reddish tones of bubinga are paired with contrasting hardwoods in a block-and-strip inlay design, creating a striking rhythm of color and form that is both modern and rooted in tradition.

Each board is hand-crafted using carefully selected hardwoods chosen for their beauty, durability, and unique grain patterns. The balance of light and dark woods highlights the geometry of the design while showcasing the natural variations that make every board one of a kind.

Available in two sizes, the Craftsman-Bubinga Board is sold exclusively at art fairs, where I present my work in person. I view each piece not simply as a cutting surface, but as a piece of usable art—designed to enrich the kitchen, complement gatherings, and reflect a legacy of fine woodworking.

The American Appalachian

The American Appalachian kitchen board is inspired by my trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where rolling ridgelines, forests, and shifting light create a landscape of strength and beauty.

Crafted from locally sourced American hardwoods—walnut, maple, birch, and hickory—the design uses natural contrasts to echo the layered horizons of the mountains. Each strip is placed to create a rhythm of color and grain that feels both rugged and refined, much like the region itself.

Available exclusively at art fairs, this board is more than a kitchen tool—it is a piece of usable art, celebrating craftsmanship, local materials, and the enduring beauty of nature.

Pink Grace

The Zapper Dapper

The Zapper Dapper

The Pink Grace kitchen board is named in honor of my Aunt Grace, whose encouragement and generosity shaped my early work. She loved gifting pieces from my first collection, and this design reflects that spirit of giving.

Crafted with care from select hardwoods, its warm tones and balanced pattern embody both elegance and strength. Like its namesake, Pink Grace is timeless—celebrating family, tradition, and the joy of sharing something beautiful with others.

Available exclusively at art fairs, this board carries both a personal story and a lasting sense of usable art meant to be enjoyed and passed along.

The Zapper Dapper

The Zapper Dapper kitchen board is a bold design featuring the dramatic lines of fractal burning, also known as the Lichtenberg technique. This process uses electricity to etch branching, lightning-like patterns across the wood’s surface, creating a striking contrast against the natural tones of the hardwoods.

Each piece is completely unique—no two patterns are ever the same—making the Zapper Dapper as much a conversation piece as a functional board. With its balance of natural beauty and modern technique, it embodies my approach to usable art: innovative, eye-catching, and built to last.

Available exclusively at art fairs.
